In depth

Verdict

Mr Smithson has been given plenty of chances to score and our patience has worn a little thin with that one so instead we turn to DUSTER to land this maiden with Coolella's progression also catching the eye. Having only found a short priced favourite too goo on debut there is enough in the selection's good looking bloodline to suggest that he'll handle the sand so with the usual improvement expected he should claim this contest that won't take a great deal of winning. Mr Smithson has been a little frustrating to follow so far but he did put in a decent effort in a handicap off a mark of 72 when placing over the minimum trip here last time. That run probably sets the standard but he's beginning to look vulnerable in this company to a progressive type. One of those could be Coolella who did improve from her first run to place on her last start and her pedigree suggests that Fibresand can see her continue in the right direction. As a son of Captain Rio Royal Holiday should love this track but after such a promising first run Duster can sweep away the opposition.
