Verdict

Ronald O'Leary can collect his travelling expenses from Ireland here with BUCKLAND GOLD looking the pick, but Mibleu and Peak Seasons are also likely to be well supported. Buckland Gold has top weight status to defy, but remains competitive with a claimer on board, as he aims to follow up a very straightforward victory last month at Market Rasen. The surface will suit, and he may be sent to the front straight from the off as when winning last time. Peak Seasons is a front runner two, and one of the busiest jumps horses around, winning a similar contest here last month. A quick re-appearance couldn't make it a double, but he's a nice sort with lots to like about him. Mibleu's not won for almost 18 months, but was a good second last time when having his first run for six months. That blow-out will have done him the world of good, and although in the past he's been sent off from the front, letting something else set the pace pace dividends last time. Spiritual Society is the other course and distance winner in the field, but the handicapper seems to have his measure now. Our choice to land it then is Buckland Gold.
