raced wide, in touch, ridden and led 2f out, driven out final furlong
close up, ridden over 2f out, soon one pace
in touch, led over 3f out, ridden and headed 2f out, kept on same pace
held up, ridden and headway over 2f out, stayed on same pace from over 1f out
close up, ridden and weakened over 2f out, soon eased
slowly into stride, held up, not troubled leaders
held up in touch, ridden 3f out, no impression until headway under pressure approaching final furlong, stayed on inside final furlong
led, headed over 4f out, soon weakened
A fascinating seller where we like the look of Katie's Role who could land this from Lady Mo and Lola's Destiny. Ian Emmerson's filly wasn't disgraced at Wolverhampton last Friday when fourth behind Blue Empire in a claimer. Her previous effort in a seller here, when beaten just over four lengths behind Smart Star Prince, makes very good reading and she holds very strong claims against today's opposition. Lady Mo has to give weight away to her rivals but did run well in a class E handicap here last time, and a repeat of that effort should see her go close today. Lola's Destiny is from a yard that is still in excellent form and takes a drop into selling company for the first time having shown signs of ability in decent maidens. She is definitely one to watch in the betting market along with Ciacole, who has also been taking on better company. So a tricky contest in which Katies Role may be the safest proposition.
