A miserable line up of non-performers and it looks really difficult to see any of these winning. My Retreat has the most obvious claims based on his run here on New Year's Day when he returned to something like his best. Ian Semple's gelding seems to be at his best at this time of the year and has won over course and distance in the past. Little else stands out apart from maybe Cosmic Song who can put in good performances from time to time and will be fit after a recent run out over hurdles. Qobtaan finished just behind the selection last time out and may be open to improvement (not beaten that far in the Wood Ditton in April for Michael Jarvis)
