Rated 61, Ormesher sets the standard though it’s not a very high one and he was still beaten a long way when third at Haydock in September. Dolly McQueen placed at Bath in the same month though it would be no surprise if Social City improved past both of the above having finished closer at Kempton last time. But this won’t take much winning and LEXINGTON FLAIR, making a belated racecourse debut, is a half-brother to a winner over hurdles and should have no problem with the trip. Hugo Palmer’s charge may prove good enough at the first time of asking and gets the vote.
