Verdict
Dun Scaith bolted up at Bangor last month but steps up in class for this off a 12lb higher mark. Maller Tree is back in the handicapper's grip but General Montgomery is interesting having had just the regulation three runs to get a mark as he won his bumper here around this time last year. However, like Ubaldo Des Menhies, he lacks a recent run whereas SEA THE SPRINGS was third at Warwick last month. The step up in distance clearly suited Dan Skelton's grey that day and, with blinkers applied here, a first victory over timber beckons.
