A Great View never really got into contention on his racecourse debut at Ballinrobe but it was a decent effort and, with further progress guaranteed, he has to be considered. He holds fourth-placed Solent Lad but Batchelors Walk had little chance in a much better race at Down Royal in November and his earlier effort on fast ground at Punchestown gives him a chance. Pershing had some decent form on fast ground last summer and will have benefited for last month's return to action on the Flat. Can't Be Done went to Tipperary on Thursday for a similar race to this and belied her SP of 33/1 with a fine run behind Copy That. It wasn't the greatest of races but it was a big improvement and he should be thereabouts. JESMOND LODGE also showed major improvement when just failing to hold Go Forty Go in an all-aged maiden at Tramore and, now back among her own generation, can go one better.
