        Chater Flair Has been running very well of late since being stepped up to this trip; 5lb extra today but handles the track and is full of confidence; hat-trick possibilities.

        Batoutoftheblue Improving handicap hurdler; has won at this track and over this distance but tends to need things to go his way; in with a shout.

        Lady Coldunell Has lost her way over obstacles recently but ran a decent race when 3rd behind Final Dividend at this course in November over 1m 4f; today's longer trip might not suit.

        Kennet Ran his best race for some time when finishing a close up 3rd at this track last week and although has never won over this trip seemed to shape that he could win a race over this distance.

        Colline de Feu Well beaten 11 days ago and was probably flattered by her victory here over 1m 6f in November; not guaranteed to stay.

        Martial Eagle (IRE) Tailed off in his last two runs here recently and no reason apart from the fitting of blinkers to suggest improvement will be shown here.

        Able Seaman (USA) Battled well on Wednesday to finish a close up second to Sharvie at Wolverhampton; quick reappearance is a tip in itself; first outing on this track.

        Windmill Lane Out and out stayer but a little outclassed in this company; poor recent run a cause for concern.

        Waseyla (IRE) Average maiden who is upped in distance today; not a serious betting proposition.

        A Chef Too Far Been off the track for a long time and best watched today; no worthwhile flat form since 1996.

        Mice Design (IRE) Course and distance winner but slighty outclassed today; ran no sort of race last time out - and that was in a claimer.

        Protocol (IRE) Is probably better on turf but ran creditably without looking like winning when fourth here behind Kent 11 days ago.
