In depth

Verdict

CURZON LINE was never in any danger once hitting the front at Ludlow last month. The second has franked the form since and John Ferguson's charge may find the improvement necessary to give 7lb to Call The Cops, winner of a bumper at the track in May, and Cloud Creeper. The latter showed definite promise in the spring but was a disappointment when starting favourite on his final start at Uttoxeter in May. Key To The West was alongside the eventual winner when falling here last month and has placed form in better company. But he has had more chances than most while Brunello proved hard to win with on the Flat.
