In a race lacking any quality Emperor Cat is taken to beat Measured Leap and Mr Uppity. If at his best Emperor Cat would easily taken this contest, but he has been steadily dropping down the ratings and after racing off a mark of 62 last season, is now down to 45. However as most of these are rated even lower Emperor Cat is showing any signs of form, should be capable of taking first prize. Measured Leap finished third in an apprentice handicap at Navan last month off a mark of 37 and should be capable of a place. Meanwhile Mr Uppity can be given a squeak on some of his placed efforts over the last few months. Speedfit Free would have a chance on his best form, but Emperor Cat is the class horse in the poor line up and is chosen to land first prize.
