Both Baron De Doc and Bushwacker come here on the back of wins last time out but we prefer the attentions of PUTNEY BRIDGE to come first in this race. Putney Bridge only just lost to Michigan Assasin at Ffos Las and he has won off higher marks than this. The trip and ground should not be a problem and if finding the sort of form that has seen him win three times this year already then he could get on the scoresheet again here. Baron De Doc has been severely punished in the weights for an impressive win at Towcester and this may put paid to his chances of doubling up today. He commanded his last outing beating Gothic Charm by eleven lengths but it would take something special to deliver the win from this mark. Bushwacker has realistic possibilities but only finished at a crawl last time and wobbled past the post to win so doubts about stamina mean we hold reservations about him today. Romping Home has not romped home to win for a year and a half and shows no reasons to expect better form is on the horizon, whilst Magellan Straits and The Hollow Bottom have not delivered good results of late either. We side with Putney Bridge to win here.
