In depth

Verdict

In this very tricky handicap we will take a chance with Instructor, Red Contact, Wessex and Dispol Veleta are just three of many dangers. The selection hit winning form last time, beating today's rival Wessex by the shortest of margins. That was quite a remarkable effort considering he went through a flat spot after getting an accidental crack across the face from a rival jockey's whip early in the straight. On just a pound worse terms he should confirm the form with the runner up. Red Contact contested a better race than this last time and finished a gallant second behind Cardinal Venture, he should be capable of getting into the money again. Meanwhile Dispol Veleta chased home Eboracum in a handicap at York in September and has been successful her twice in the past. If fit following her break she should figure in the finish. All in all a very open affair and Instructor is a sporting selection.
