In a poor seller CHOCOLICIOUS has the slightly better form and has the vote ahead of Captain Bradz and Hawkspring. The pick, like most of these, has bits and pieces of form but the line from his last time out solid effort stand up well with the winner scoring again since. That run was his first in two months and on this surface so he is entitled to come on from that here. Captain Bradz found just one too good over a mile here in what was very slow going. The winner was 13 lengths clear though but the performance was at least an improved one from his turf form and more can be expected again. Hawkspring won over a mile here in November but has since found life in handicaps a little tough. The drop into this company is of course a plus but his top weight burden is definitely a minus. Yellow River should be respected as the highest rated in the race and runs off level terms with the selection. It is likely though that rating is over inflated as he's shown very little so far so the vote goes with form and Chocolicious.
