      Verdict

AUREATE makes the most appeal here, being preferred to Wind Flow and Ozone Trustee. A decent winner here in a lower ranked claimer last time out, with Realism second and Nawamees back in fourth, Brian Ellison's gelding has by far and away the highest official mark. Nawamees also held Claiming when they met last month in a York claimer, although neither threatened to land the spoils. Ozone Trustee is Alan Swinbank's only runner on the card; he returned unsuccessfully from hurdling for his seasonal debut last month at Hamilton. His one career win came with some cut in the ground so he should appreciate the surface, and come on again for that outing. Wind Flow has an impressive strike rate of 8/30 on the all-weather, but they've all been on the Polytrack. Having a seven pound claimer on board will help him on his Southwell debut; he's Chris Dwyer's only runner on the card, and market support would be encouraging. However, our preferred choice is Aureate.
