      Verdict

      Trinculo gets the vote in a tricky opener with Ace Club and Soba Jones rated as the main dangers. The selection ran a blinder over this trip last time at Wolverhampton when only narrowly beaten by Don Pele. He is well-drawn today and if he maintains his form he should prove tough to beat. Ace Club won in banded grade here last time but he is not the most reliable and he has a poor draw so for those reasons we will pass him over. Soba Jones has won over this course and distance four times but he seems to have gone off the boil of late and he was disappointing last time when chasing home Charlie Delta. Sion Hill is better than he showed last time but he has not won in 43 attempts so the percentage call is to take him on and for the winner we are happy to stick with Trinculo.
