In depth

Verdict

MOTAWAAFEQ has returned from a short break in fine form and landed a double with last month’s victory in a tougher race than this at Pontefract. He remains on a winning mark despite a 2lb rise. Calin's Lad has won three of his last four starts though his defeat at Kempton came in this grade and Ciotog is another upped in class after winning at Bath. He's A Gentleman, Soames Forsyte and Clipsham Gold were all beaten less than a length last time and the latter has switched yards.
