In depth

Verdict

Rose of May has yet to go close on Turf but is one of the least exposed and could figure if acting on the surface. Whipphound's first taste of the Fibresand was an unhappy one as he ran well below par while Coastal Passage and Amenable finished down the field over track and trip last month. DOCTOR HILARY was beaten a couple of lengths when sixth in the same race as the latter pair but that wasn't a bad effort considering he missed the break. Mark Hoad's charge may be up to landing this with a clean start and gets a speculative vote.
