chased leader from 2nd, led before 2 out, soon quickened clear, hanging left and idling between last 2 and flat, driven out
chased leader until pecked 2nd, weakened before 8th, tailed off
held up, went modest 3rd before 8th, well behind after 3 out

Molly The Dolly disappointed when odds-on at Warwick after a decent effort in a Listed contest at Haydock. She may have found the ground too testing and is better judged on her impressive debut success on the former track on good to soft going. GOOD MAN PAT has been running in much better contests since joining Alan King from Ireland where he landed a point-to-point. He was beaten at short odds several times before losing his maiden tag at Bangor and, though penalised, should have the legs of these. Cap'n has been extremely highly tried throughout his short career though it's difficult to understand why as he's shown nothing on the racecourse to suggest he could compete at that sort of level while Haasab weakened quickly when tackling 2m3f at Catterick last time.
