In depth

Verdict

Happy Face is the only one with experience of the Fibresand but was well beaten and gets a change of headgear. SHERPA TRAIL is penalised for last month’s debut success over 7f at Wolverhampton but that’s the best form on offer and a chance is taken he handles the surface given Ed Walker has a good strike rate from the few runners he sends here. Bin Makfi missed the whole of last year having gone close on his debut while Makthecat finished runner-up in a bumper in November but has his first start in this code. The remainder are hard to recommend though Tranchee debuts for new connections having failed to threaten in Ireland.
