A tricky apprentice handicap to get the card underway which could go the way of Digger, with Court Of Appeal and Most-Saucy the likely dangers. Gay Kellaway's gelding came up against course specialist Mi Odds last week, going down by just three quarters of a length, that was an improvement on recent efforts and it could pay to follow him now he has hit form. Court Of Appeal makes his Southwell debut but has run well at Wolverhampton and a recent second to Tilla at Catterick was a good enough effort to see him in the firing line today. Most-Saucy was in great form last winter and two promising efforts at Lingfield last month auger well for the coming months, this one cannot easily be dismissed despite ten stone in the plate. Course and distance winner Bid Spotter is another to consider with his feather weight but Digger is expected to bury his rivals.
