        Verdict

        It's tempting to consider that MEDITERRANEAN SEA is in the handicapper's grip now having landed a hat-trick at this course over the winter. But she's faced stiffer competition on her last couple of starts and John Jenkins' mare gets the nod with doubts surrounding her main rivals. Carnac drops back in trip and up in class after scoring here a week and also has a penalty to contend with, while Three White Socks was still beaten 11 lengths when runner-up over C&D last time. Gosforth Park won a lowly handicap here in November and will find this tougher and the same comment applies to last month's course winner Light The City. Ginger Grey could prove the biggest danger returning from a spell over hurdles.
