There is not much to go on in this maiden that opens proceedings here. The shortlist is made up of Singeur, Coloursoftheglen and Miss Lesley, but we are going to side with GOING FRENCH. The two-year-old colt has plenty of pace in his bottom line and showed good attitude when finishing runner up at Brighton on his debut when last seen. He should be sharper this time and looks capable of going one better. Singeur also put in a pleasing debut last time when finishing runner-up over course and distance. He should have come on a bundle for the run but the selection may prove too speedy for him. Coloursoftheglen represents the yard of Tom Dascombe and is expected to do well here after finishing just behind the winner when last seen. The two-year-old will benefit a lot for the experience and looks well capable of making the frame here. Miss Lesley looks best of the rest. She put in a great effort when finishing third at Windsor last time, she does have steering problems but once they are ironed out she should be capable of winning a race or two in the future.
