A moderate contest lacking strength in depth and only a couple could be seriously fancied. Lunar Leader has become disappointing and has plenty to prove now after a mulish display at Nottingham on Monday. However, Brian Meehan leaves the blinkers off this time and relies on him from the three he had entered at the five-day stage. Raoul Duffy showed enough in maidens at Wolverhampton to be of interest at this level, but strictly on the ratings he has plenty to find with Caroubier, who is the choice. Jamie Osborne's gelding has plenty going for him. He is best in on BHB ratings, is effective over course and distance and as an added bonus, his useful apprentice takes a further 5lbs off his back.
