In depth

Verdict

MAJOR PEIRSON is clear of his rivals on the book and is hard to oppose, with the main concern being that this is his first appearance on Fibresand. However, his yard know what is required on this surface and he is taken to make a winning reappearance. He was an impressive winner at Newbury last term before being far from disgraced in two Listed contests. His main rival is Teardrop Island who has the advantages of assured fitness and the ability to act on the surface, having finished in the frame here on her last two starts. The ex-Joseph O'Brien filly does demand respect. The market should sort out the remaining trio.
