Verdict

Ivestar, Golden Penny and Ogmore Junction look the trio to pay attention to and we are with Golden Penny. Hughie Morrison's gelding didn't exactly trouble the judge during his juvenile career but he ran at a respectable enough level and with the trainer sending out winners, he is given the tentative vote. Ivestar shaped with some promise at Ayr on his third start. The market will tell us what is anticipated this time around. Ogmore Junction faced a couple of tough assignments in maiden company last year. He is bred to be better for the winter on his back. Sharp Indian ran green on introduction and could be anything. Director's Chair ran a pleasing introduction on debut at Kempton. Dickie Valentine looks completely exposed and it would be a poor maiden were he to win this. Golden Penny is not without questions to answer but he won't find too many easier maidens in the fixture calendar than this.
