Verdict

Kyllis is the recommendation in this race with Sweet Mind and Orpenella put up as the alternatives. The selection hails from the in form stable of Bryan Smart and while demonstrating some distinctly ordinary form during her juvenile career, she is from a family that are noted as getting better with age and it is to be hoped that she has inherited some of those genes. Sweet Mind was not an inexpensive purchase at the sales. She was unable to give anything like her true running last term through inherent greenness but she cannot be discounted in this grade. Orpenella had the misfortune of running up against Thebes on debut. It is unlikely that there is anything of that ilk here. Kai Mer is a cheaply bought daughter of Captain Rio. Crying Aloud was highly tried last season and drops back to a more realistic level. The Dragon has put up two no shows thus far. Having considered the alternatives, Kyllis is the pick.
