Polish Power was good value for his win at Lingfield last month but may struggle under his penalty so preference is for Jackie Kiely, who gets the vote ahead of Night Warrior and Mi Odds. The last mentioned is not as good as he once was but has slipped to an attractive mark and has to be considered. Makarim is strictly held by the selection on running last time, while Romil Star has been performing well in sellers and claimers of late but may find this company too good. Sun Hill is capable of playing a part but could probably do with some help from the handicapper, while Polish Power looks harshly treated on running with the selection last month but has won well since. Padre Nostro is another with a bit to find with Jackie Kiely and of more interest may be Night Warrior, who is potentially well treated but has yet to prove that he is as effective over this trip as over shorter. There are no such doubts concerning Jackie Kiely, who should be capable of beating some old adversaries today.
