        Verdict

        Esprit de Corps would not have to be anything out of the ordinary to score and he gets the vote with Sonic Anthem and Sand Repeal rated the most likely dangers. The selection is bred to be useful being by Hernando and hails from the yard of Sir Mark Prescott and while he gave little sign for encouragement on Friday at Lingfield the opposition here looks weak. Sand Repeal, who has a rating of 66 is officially the highest rated of these judged by BHB ratings so the selection does not have to achieve a particularly high standard to trouble a gelding that is beginning to be difficult to win with. Finnegans Rainbow is only rated 40 but has been rated higher and has been running with some consistency. A place is probably the best that his backers could hope for though and of more interest may be Sonic Anthem, who could improve for the step up in trip today but lacks a recent run. Esprit de Corps has a decent pedigree though and a chance is taken that he will be straight enough and good enough after his first outing on Friday.
