Verdict

The veteran Benalma is very well handicapped over hurdles and, despite having won just once, can make his presence felt in an open affair. High Talk was a very easy winner over fences at Downpatrick and has won twice over hurdles at the same track though he's best on quicker ground. TAKEN TWICE was making his handicap debut when a close second to Kalico Kim over 3m at Kilbeggan and with that under his belt looks the one to beat here. Tough Mark did better when faced with good going at Downpatrick beating The Gnathologist in a driving finish. He was well beaten when third in much softer conditions at Clonmel and would need the ground to dry out. Frankie Flowers hasn't had much experience but did better at Cork on Friday when runner-up to Clara More over the minimum trip so he's another to keep an eye on.
