Verdict

MOUNT WELCOME would have won much more often than twice if his jumping had been better though he was a bit unlucky at Wexford last time when impeded when mounting a challenge. He's been left on the same mark by the assessor and looks well enough treated to go one better. Dark Prospect may find the ground too soft with his big weight but the front-running Our Nana Rose will love the conditions and a 7lb rise for her battling victory at Bellewstown isn't excessive, especially with her rider able to claim 5lb. She holds Tin Town Boy on that run and looks certain to go well. Charlie Swan has booked Ruby Walsh for Rodriguez, who stayed on nicely behind Iron Duke at Cork but has generally disappointed while Helvelius arrives in very good form having won at Clonmel before an even better effort at Ballinrobe.
