In depth

Verdict

THE LAST INDIAN, who completed a hat-trick on the Flat around this time a year ago, unseated his rider at the first on another hat-trick bid over hurdles at Galway last week. He's still only five and a mark of 110 may be underestimating his talents so he's taken to gain compensation. Mysloegin won a Wexford maiden and was well supported for a Galway handicap last week but couldn't quite get into contention though it wasn't a bad effort. The four-year-old Gold Seal won a Roscommon maiden before a cracking run behind subsequent winner Castlehume at Bellewstown though didn't run quite so well at Killarney a couple of weeks later. Colwinston is still a maiden after 16 starts and will need to raise her game while Cluan Dara has disappointed recently and Sometimes A Fox makes his handicap debut after being beaten a long way at Cork.
