        Verdict

        Brendan Duke won this a year ago with a horse owned by Jim Bolger's wife Jackie and INTENSER can repeat the process. He underwent a gelding operation after four very moderate efforts and it did the trick as he won the first nursery of the season at the Curragh last month. With just a 4lb rise to contend with he's taken to complete the double and again see off Splashtop, who was 2l behind in fourth. Trust Your Opinion showed good pace for a long way at Navan but still has plenty to do with top weight while Lady Mandeville has been inconsistent and ran poorly at Naas last time and the remainder have struggled in maidens.
