After a couple of moderate bumper runs, Bakougan showed a bit more dash on his hurdling debut here last month though that was over the minimum trip so his ability to stay on testing ground has to be taken on trust. BEN BUTTON has no such problems having finished a close second in a Grade 3 over the trip on soft ground at Cork. He ran poorly on his latest start at Fairyhouse in March but his overall form gives him the edge. Emma Beag finished runner-up in two maidens earlier in the summer and her latest effort when strongly fancied at Downpatrick last month is best ignored as she was never travelling and was found to be lame post-race.
