Verdict

The beautifully-bred Midst is taking time to find her form but could be well treated for her handicap debut. Hasselnott had seemed likely to win soon before his handicap debut at the Curragh where he didn't run badly in a better race than this. PROVE THE POINT is given the nod as he found 1m2f much too far at Navan after a narrow defeat by the in-form Va Pensiero over this trip at Leopardstown. Stanley Daley did better when dropped back to 6f at Dundalk while True Companion was the surprise winner of a Dundalk nursery in October but didn't run as well there later.
