        Verdict

        Blazing Speed landed the Group 2 trial race here three weeks ago but will do well to confirm running with previous Group 1 winners and local rivals Military Attack, Designs On Rome and stablemate and 2012 winner California Memory. Cirrus Des Aigles ran well for third in last year's renewal, despite the fast ground, and finished ahead of both Military Attack and Blazing Speed. He makes more appeal than UK raider Farraaj, who beat Criterion when going close in a Group 1 at Flemington last month. But a chance is taken on Japanese hope ARCHIMEDES, despite him not having raced since March. He found only subsequent dual Grade 1 winner Just A Way too good at Nakayama then and could go close again in Sheikh Mohammed's colours on his return to action.
