Verdict
Local hero Gold-Fun, a winner at Naas for Ger Lyons last April, made a winning start to his career here in January when landing what looked a soft Group 1. His latest three victories have come at local Group level and he's only just beaten Helene Spirit in the last two. Along with Packing Whiz and Dan Excel, that pair look just sort of the company that MOONLIGHT CLOUD and Sky Lantern have been keeping and it's the French mare who is just handed the vote. She's only had four runs all year, the last three at Group 1 level, and her victory over Gordon Lord Byron at Longchamp was out of the highest drawer. Richard Hannon will know how he stands with her as his Olympic Glory was beaten a short-head in the Jacques Le Marois at Deauville and the triple Group 1 winner looks certain to be a major threat, especially as the selection's one and only poor performance came when she had to travel to Santa Anita.
