In depth

Verdict

This could be a shade too far for the useful Bourne but Mauricetheathlete won over course and distance 18 months ago, though that was off a 25lb lower mark and he showed little on his reappearance at Uttoxeter. NIGHT IN MILAN was just beaten over fences off this mark at Aintree in May. He'll probably be back over the larger obstacles sooner rather than later but stamina here won't be a problem and this looks a decent opportunity to make a winning return. Howizee finished behind Bourne over 2m6f at Wetherby earlier this month but the enigmatic Abnaki is probably best watched until showing signs of a revival and was behind One In A Milan over fences at Ffos Las last season. Jeu De Roseau has plenty to prove over this trip.
