An open contest here with plenty having a chance and we will side with Karo De Vindecy to notch his third course win, with Sparkling Taff, Flaming Heck and Romany Dream others on the short list. The selection has enjoyed course success twice over 2m 5f here, so this reduction of a furlong won't be a problem. He loves to hear his hooves rattle and has dropped back down to a reasonable mark after a string of defeats since his last win in August 2005. Despite that he has run some decent races and he is fancied to end that losing run now. Sparkling Taff was a distance winner at Ayr last month but has found a few too good in two runs since. Neverthless this is not as tough as those races and on faster ground he could go close. Flaming Heck would prefer a deluge to have a more serious chance, while Return Home seems to act on most ground and is dropping down to a more favourable mark so watch the market for clues. Of the others, Romany Dream is penalised for a Fakenham win last time and looking at his record a follow up looks unlikely, though his consistency can see him make the frame, but we prefer Karo De Vindecy.
