A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be General Alarm, High Country and Finlay's Footsteps with the narrow vote going to General Alarm. The selection was pulled up last time out but prior to that he had been in good form, he has conditions to suit here and in a poor race he looks a value bet. High Country rates the main danger on his best form. He was pulled up last time out but he will relish the return to this faster ground and he should be watched in the market. Finlay's Footsteps is another that could go well on his third behind Spare Me a couple of starts ago but he has since disappointed. However he gets the weight for age allowance here and looks the one to be on. Of the remainder the booking of Grahame Lee for High Country catches the eye and he could go well at a price but he has shown little of late and in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to General Alarm.
