    Verdict

It’s a surprise to see Discoverie in a seller as he won here and at Catterick before flopping over fences at the latter track last time. Mr Snoozy was second over course and distance on Boxing Day but also disappointed last time at Catterick, though that was in a better race than this. ASCENDANT hasn’t won in almost a year but he’s not run badly in his last two at Huntingdon and Taunton and the 11-year-old has won over 2m5f here in the past. He looks the pick of the weights with Leicester second Smart Catch preferred to King Of The Dark of the others.
