      Verdict

The finale may go to the improving Envious ahead of Lingham Bridesmaid and Minster York. Envious has got a little closer with each run this term, the latest being a fair second at Cartmel where he did not mind the drop back in trip. However, he does seem better over further and the move back up is no inconvenience. Indeed that should add to connections' confidence in what is not a strong contest. Lingham Bridesmaid has lived up to her name on a number of occasions and unless she suddenly improves a few pounds, looks set for a place at best again, while Minster York, although much better treated over hurdles than fences, was not fluent last time at Perth when struggling all the way round and cannot be backed on that evidence. Richard Johnson, who has ridden Envious before, has been booked to ride Treasured Coin, so any market moves for Peter Bowen's charge should be noted, but we feel that in a trappy affair, Envious is the safest option, although bets should be kept to the minimum.
