        Verdict

        Jane Lamb was runner-up at Southwell on her reappearance and BIRCH VALE occupied the same finishing position at Wetherby on her return to action. But the latter finished a distance in front of the rest and Donald McCain’s mare may prove best in this. Eternally Yours is a likely improver having finished fourth at Musselburgh on her racecourse debut while Branston Doyen represents a yard that does well in bumpers and she makes most appeal of the newcomers.
