A race similar in profile to the opening division here, with two previous winners carrying penalties but again looking like the ones on which we should concentrate, and we will side with BRACKENMOSS, who is just preferred to Kings Maiden. The selection won a couple of bumpers before turning out at Ayr for her hurdling debut earlier in the month. The bottomless ground suited her there and also helped to bring her stamina into play, so despite the fact that it was a weak race she did pretty well to win over two miles. This step up in trip is the key here and with an extra half mile looking a positive we will side with her to follow up. Kings Maiden has already won over course and distance for Jimmy Moffatt and will also enjoy these conditions. Stamina is clearly her forte but she has a few more miles on the clock and might not be quite as open to as much improvement as the selection. Lemon Drizzle represents in-form trainer Howard Johnson and makes her debut here. She is bred to be effective at this trip and being related to soft ground winners she has her conditions too, so a market check is strongly advised as she does receive weight from the leading protagonists. Ferdy Murphy runs Mansonn Leda here, who was down the field behind stablemate Elzahann, who ran in the first division of this race, last time out. This is the softest ground she has run on so far and she has a bit to prove. Pelican Point comes from a yard going well and she can surely come on a fair bit for here summer debut, but preference for today is with Brackenmoss.
