An above-average affair for the track with SILVER SHUFFLE taken as a value option on this first outing for Malcolm Jefferson against more obvious types. The selection was progressing nicely enough over the water and the Irish import is preferred to the ex-Gosden Group winner, Questioning. The latter is clearly talented but failed to get home on debut after travelling smoothly and, if anything, this rates a harder task. Admiral Hawke hacked up in selling grade last time and it'll be interesting to see how he handles the rise in grade, whilst stablemate Autun, useful on the Flat, has yet to show the same sparkle over timber. Apollo Eleven has to be respected for a yard that does well here whilst May's Boy would also be a contender if coming here from his scheduled Monday engagement at Cartmel.
