Baraboy's effort at Doncaster on Friday was short-lived and the course and distance winner appears to have reverted to type and was well behind Discoverie when favourite here on Boxing Day. Astaroland ran his best race so far when runner-up at Leicester while Uplifted's latest fifth at Newcastle was a bit of an improvement on previous efforts, though that's not saying much. DRY YOUR EYES returned from a short break to go close in a slightly better race at Musselburgh earlier this month and a repeat of that effort may well suffice here.
