Mister Fizzbomb is only a plater and still a maiden after 19 starts over timber. Samizdat is well handicapped but appears to have lost his way, while Pinewood Legend finds little off the bridle and is usually worth opposing. AUTHENTIC ACT is no world-beater but does boast a C&D win and is only a pound higher than when runner-up at Kelso in October. Martin Todhunter's charge gets the vote here, though it would be no surprise to see Just Maddie take advantage of a plummeting handicap mark in similar company before the end of the season.
