    Verdict

King Of The Dark pulled clear of What A Dream in an equally uninspiring contest over a bit further here 12 days ago but whether he’ll be as effective on this quicker surface is a matter of debate. Spread Boy is back in the right grade but steps up in distance while The Omen could be well treated and should strip fitter for his run at Ffos Las. WINSTON CHURCHILL looked to be approaching peak fitness at Towcester and is back on a winning mark. Robert Hawker reduces his welter burden by 7lb and he is a cut above these on his best form.
