Verdict

CHAKISTO (NAP) ran well over fences on a couple of occasions in the autumn and has since completed a double over hurdles. Rated 2lb lower than over the smaller obstacles, Tim Vaughan’s charge looks the one to beat with Alan Johns good value for his claim. Bandol won at Worcester and Hereford either side of a fall at Southwell so can’t be ignored. Duhallowcountry finished well ahead of Roxyfet when second to Chestnut Ben over course and distance last time but a strike rate of 1-26 over fences is off-putting. Oak Vintage and Arantes have been out of sorts.
