In depth

Verdict

Andrea Gale can make the journey up from Wales pay off, with fellow traveller Adlestrop and Verstone two leading rivals. Evan Wiiliams is enjoying a good little spell at present, and so hopes are high that Andrea Gale can make the most of what appears to be a light weight to score. The five-year-old has had just four British starts, and this full-sister to a decent Irish point winner Present Gale does not look overburdened for her handicap debut, and can make the concession of 7lb that she receives from Adlestrop count here. The Gloucestershire raider finished clear of the rest when second to Fort Ord at Sandown, and will go close again on that effort, while Verstone failed to add to her course win under a penalty at Hexham and is another that will perhaps fare better in handicaps. Nobody's Perfect has topweight to overcome but is not out of it entirely, with preference for Andrea Gale.
