      Verdict

Brian Boranha had a run under his belt before winning last year’s renewal off a 3lb lower mark and he’s had a wind operation since last seen in May. Vinnie Lewis ended last season with a second at Sandown and could go well while Scoop The Pot gets a change of headgear having struggled over hurdles at Newton Abbot last month and winning partner Richard Johnson is back on board. But CHASMA (NAP) won over these fences earlier in the year and has improved since joining Dan Skelton’s yard. A recent second at Warwick should set him up nicely for this and he gets the vote. Kingswell Theatre would prefer faster going and Traditional Dancer blotted his copybook when refusing to race at Perth last month while Morney Wing is preferred to Lord Getaway and The Caller in this grade.
